Well, I would really like to learn French as I go there on holiday a lot. I would also like to learn Chinese as I think that China is going to be the important superpower of the 21st century and it would be useful to be able to communicate with Chinese scientists.

Better French and Italian, but also languages like Japanese and Russian. They look really really hard so it would be cool to say you could speak them!

I’m learning Russian and Japanese at the moment, and I would really like to learn to speak both of them better. I don’t think I want to try to take on anything else at the moment, as I tend to get confused easily between different foreign languages and come out with sentences which have every word in a different language 😀
How about you, mizzlily – what languages do you know / would you like to learn?

I already speak English, Bengali and Arabic. I just started learning Chinese (it’s about 7 weeks now). It’s really fun because it’s challenging. Sometimes when I talk to family members, I speak in English, Bengali in one sentence. I have a lot of Chinese to learn so a long way to go yet.

I’ve been learning bits of Spanish for a while so I’d really like to improve. I think you need to practise everyday to get good and it’s hard to find the time. in an ideal world I’d like to learn to talk dog 🙂 I really love dogs, their expressions are great and they always seem so happy. I’d love to have a chat with them……maybe I’ve watched one too many pixar films!
