      That is a very good question! And one that is very popular right now in the world of science!

      People know that tumours can spread, so say a breast tumour is most likely to spread to the liver or the lungs. But why is it more likely to spread to these sites and not to other sites?

      Researchers now think that certain tumour cells prefer certain conditions, and that the microenvironment where the tumour sets up home has to be right.
