• Question: Hi, I'm fascinated by exploitations into the natural world. Could you describe the time when you snorkeled off the tropical islands in Japan?

      Hi dizzyg!
      Thanks for the question!
Snorkeling off the tropical islands in Japan was fantastic! I think it was the most amazing thing I’ve ever done in my life! I saw loads of cool stuff, including different coloured (blue, pink, red…) corals, jelly fish and so many different types of tropical fish in every colour of the rainbow. The fish weren’t scared of us snorkelers at all – they would come close enough to touch (and they often did bump in to us!). It’s so peaceful, just floating there with only the sound of your breathing and so many amazing things to see.
If it’s something you are interested in I highly recommend you try it! In fact some scientists (marine biologists – not any of us in this zone unfortunately) even get to snorkel or dive every day as part of their job!
